How much life insurance do you need? It's probably one of the most important and unsettling questions that I pose to my clients. It's also a question that many of us tend to ignore until it's too late. Perhaps the best way to come to terms with this difficult subject is to educate yourself and understand how life insurance can impact other people's lives.

Lamar Odom, a two-time NBA champion and star of the hit reality TV show Khloé & Lamar, shares his story about growing up in a single-parent household in Queens, New York and how he lost his mother to colon cancer when he was 12 years old. He expresses how much his mother's life insurance played a big role in helping to keep his life on track and to achieve his success.
